What do I mean that capitalism indulges human nature whereby communism obstructs it?
Think about it. What does society thrive on? What is the foundation of human society?
Human society is marked by conflict, suffering, inequality, mass poverty, exploitation, disenfranchisement along with alienation of whole individuals, misery, selfishness, self interests, extreme competition, megalomania, amorality, ulterior motives masqueraded as altruism, violence, war, entrapment, prejudice, hypocrisy, envy, lust, power, hate, desire of pleasure, mindless self indulgence, and tyranny.
Capitalism merely came in historically as the heroic savior of man's own human nature in that in a capitalist economy humanity can indulge in what it is well versed in. ( Tyranny and oppression.)
If communism came to power in the 19th century the social interactions of inequality, amorality, violent competition, exploitation, oppression, and tyranny all things human nature is well versed in would be obstructed or at the very least least restricted.
If communism came to power in the 19th century one would not be able to say that they are entitled to more then their fellow person.
Capitalism thrived over communism because it represented human nature like no other economical system.
Capitalism represents the selfish ego.
Capitalism represents the megalomaniac the highest and most purest form of human nature.
( The most realistic form.)
The biggest irony of communism is that the countries and nations that adopted it's principles never lived up to them.
Let's take a look at modern China. It calls itself communist yet in all actuality is nothing at all in it's core economical and principle in being anywhere near the envisionment of Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, or even Lenin.
So not only did capitalism become triumphant and victorious over communism but the countries that became communist couldn't even live up to communism's core principles as they look more like dictatorships than anything.
( Of course all centralized governments are dictatorships in reality. Which includes modern democracies.)
( A debate for another time.)
It appears that human nature with all it's centering on self interests, tyranny over others, and violent competition eventually won out amongst even so called communist nations.
Now let's get to the biggest irony in our observation of capitalism and communism in it's interaction with the psychology of human nature.
If you read the title of this thread you will see the line that reads: The obliteration of the human utopia.
In order to discuss the obliteration of utopianism we must first ask, what was communism? Communism was the highest envisionment of a cooperative egalitarian society that was both stateless and classless revolving around common ownership.
So what happened when capitalism triumphed over communism?
It destroyed all and any hope of humanity ever changing it's permanent human nature for the future.
It destroyed all and any hope of humanity ever changing it's social existence for the future.
It show humanity's inability to change socially through transcedental reason for the future.
Historically we can say that when capitalism triumphed victoriously selfishness, tyranny, violent competition, oppression, and inequality won over utopianism.
When capitalism became victorious historically the death or definate end of utopianism and social directional progress became reality.
