PostSubject: Commend and Command   Commend and Command I_icon_minitimeSat Nov 07, 2009 4:23 am

Could the words 'commend' and 'command' denote/express the same meaning in English?
When, decades ago, I analyzed Jesus sayings I noticed that in the Arabic versions of the NT Jesus used to 'commend' in his teachings while in the English versions it is translated to 'command' (or alike) instead.

lay folk should consider returning to ancient traditions of communicating, imho.
