Tyranny By The Majority And The Antithesis Of Psychology.

I believe what we have anymore is tyranny by the majority but not just politically. Beyond politics we have tyranny by the majority mentally in that thought the motivation of all action has itself become enslaved by mob rule from insidious concepts like that of sanity and normality that are psychological pseudonyms.

One of the major themes of psychology that is the foundation of it's entire premise is the assumption that the majority of the population defines sanity. It is this assumption that is it's fetish in a sort of pathological way of interpretation.

It is this assumption that is very crude because there was a time in history where the majority thought the sun was a god hoisted upon a chariot of fire throughout the sky from dusk til dawn.

It is a rather crude assumption in that one point of history the majority once accepted that in order to bring about effective crops through a year of disasterous infertilization that hundreds would have to be sacrificed with their hearts torn out of their rib cages.

It is a rather crude assumption in that one point of history the majority perceived women to be witches and dangerous sorcerers of conjure that threatened the very bowls of society where they burned a great deal of people on pyres.

How we come to assume that the majority of people define that little thing that we call sanity is beyond understanding.

Is normality and sanity merely definitions of self delusion in order to give off the illusion of order in a world built upon randomity? Ironically even til this day we still use such terminologies absurdly until nausea.

Even today the majority is used to excuse hysterical behaviors by that what is described as majoritarianism.

Even more interesting is that without the pathological interpretation and assumption that the majority is always right or that the prime definer of sanity along with the conception of normality is defined by the majority psychology itself would not be able to exist.

Important questions to ask:

Is the majority always right?

Why is population density a justification for anything?

Sanity or health is mostly a measurement of how an individual compares to an average.

My definition for both is that it is a measurement of how an individual compares to an average in reference to reality.

For instance, an individual that adheres to a popular belief in ghosts in, for me, ill.
This because in reference to reality he has nothing to stand on but the supporting agreement of the majority.

Pretty much any problem of majority decision making will appear with at leat as regular occasion with any other form of government.

Of course majorities get it wrong.

As do minorities.

As do individuals.
