Oh yes, also, I would like the ability to moderate my own threads please ... so they do not turn into childish drivel.

Why is there such a low word-count allowed per post?
Consider increasing thew allowable length per post.

Also, consider streamlining the forum by decreasing the sub-forums.

Like epistemology can be taken off since it can be included in the general philosophy sub-forum.

I would have these general sub-forums:

Philosophy

Science

Religion

Sociology

Art

Lounge

Feedback

I also agree that there should be, and would like to see, a lesser amount of general sub-forums.

When there is a large quantity of forums, then the topics seem to become convoluted and spaced out, unnecessarily so.

Why can I not post in all the sub-forums?

I wasn't aware that there are bugs with the forum presently. Let me take care of them immediately.

That sounds weird. I'll get on that fast.

Alright I have taken care of the permissions default setting in that everyone is allowed to post in all categories.

For some reason that was their original default setting. ( How pathetic. I was completely unaware of that.)

Also if you have noticed I have taken the suggestion of changing the text color to white as you see in this post.

Unfortunately the low word count even for me as the admin is unalterable as that is their set limit for this forum program.

As for the rest of what you said I agree and I shall have things edited to simplify things.

Yeah sorry about that. They did that for their default setting for users in this program.

ILP seems to have a good setup of their advertisements. Perhaps you should learn about their method?

In terms of simplicity & ease, this would be the best option. Personally, I can afford very little in my own life (but I would consider contributing to this end). -- time is of the essence.

The Graphics sub-forum should be given a more general title that would welcome all members to post their own stuff, their own creativity.

Graphics seems a bit limited in its scope.

Maybe it should be renamed Art.
Then anyone can either discuss art or offer their own artistic expressions.

I've already returned to some of my old haunts and posted links to this place.

Of course there are a few that have banned me so someone else will have to take the time.

Sciforums.com is one that may have a few dissatisfied members.

You should be able to hit the profile button where when it clicks into the next window it should have signature as one of the options.

The profile button should be under the heading Internet Philosophical Community at the top of the screen.

The categories are great right now, nice changes.

The signature change still isn't working though; I think. I have my signature turned on, but it doesn't show.

We now have a live chat located at the bottom of the screen for members to IM each other when there not making threads.

( Please note that you can only access it from the main page and that you can only enter the program when your logged in.)

Signatures should work now. You should also be able to make your own user profile now too.

Also in your profile it shows your zodiac sign. Not that it matters but I thought it was pretty neat.

Tomorrow I'll see if I can enact the ranking system where you can rank other members upon their performance in threads and posts.


If there are any other problems let me know.

Should guests be allowed to post?
Does this not defeat the purpose of becoming a member?
